Our Process Explained Further

1. Initial contact

2. Emergency response if needed – (stopping leaks, vapor control, emergency trenches, drains /rivers etc.)

3. Arrange for an initial site assessment – normally within hours. If more detailed investigation is required such in the rare cases where the oil has gone to depth or ground water we will arrange for this to be undertaken after the initial investigation).

4. Report preparation – Insurers and regulators will require a detailed report which accurately explains what has happened and what damage has occurred to the various receptors such as Humans, Property, Groundwater, Surface Waters & any Neighbours. We aim to have our reports along with projected costings for the work compiled within a few days of visiting your property.

5. Report submission – we can forward our reports and costings directly to your insurance company or loss adjuster, or if you prefer us to work through you or your representative this is just as easy. There is normally a period where the proposed works are considered and various questions are asked by the various parties involved before authorisation is given for the works to proceed.

6. Approval & Planning – once approved we make contact with customers immediately and arrange for any paperwork to be completed. We will arrange for a start date at your property which is normally within five working days. In the interim we will be busy making all the arrangements for the work to start such as organising machinery & skips and compiling our Health & Safety documentation and making sure our allocated staff know exactly what the job entails.

7. Remediation – our staff and project manager will arrive at your property at initially carry out preparatory works to protect your property and remove any obstacles to the work. They will then automatically proceed to the main body of work which often involves excavation with small narrow access diggers. Our staff are exceptionally well trained and very experienced, but we reinforce them with extensive management support so we can be sure your job gets the attention it needs. This allows us to problem solve any issues in real time, over come them and keep projects on track to complete in the shortest possible timeframe. We continually investigate whilst works progress to ensure that in the very rare circumstance that we uncover something we hadn’t foreseen, this is dealt with immediately.

8. Validation – when we are completely satisfied that the damage has been made good we carry out a robust and scientific validation process. We gather soil samples from the sides and base of any excavation and forward them to an independent and fully accredited laboratory where they are analysed. Where appropriate we also collect air quality samples from your property to further demonstrate that your property has been brought back to a state where you can fully enjoy it once again. The analytical results provided by the independent laboratories is then carefully compared to recognised human health standards for the remediation of contaminated land so we can with confidence confirm that remediation has been achieved.

9. Reinstatement – Our in house and highly trained staff will reinstate your property, internally or externally to the highest standard. By having the majority of skills we need in house we can fully reinstate your property very quickly and efficiently. We take great pride in the work that we undertake and want our customers to be delighted with the care, attention and quality of work we produce.

10. Hand over & Reporting – we like to conduct a handover meeting with clients if they are available to make sure any snags are dealt with. We will also provide a copy of the completion report that details everything that was done in order to remediate the property and the results of the validation that verify that the job is complete and the remedial objectives met.
