Rapid, Reliable Responses to Oil Spills

Established in 2016 by Daire Creaney who was a highly experienced scientist with vast experience in the operational management oil spills clean up since the 1990’s.  Daire’s experience in Oil spills in the early days involved response to large spills on water, land and a period as an Oil Spill Commander for Northern Ireland Coastal waters.  Originally trained as  Biochemist and spending a period working on novel research into molecular immunology and cancer, Daire completed a post graduate management program and found himself drawn to the Environmental sector, initially working in waste management, Environmental contracting and asbestos consultancy.

Additionally, Daire went on to run two major remediation contractors in Ireland from 2002-2016 before Founding Gaea – Oil Spill Experts.

Daire recognised a need for a fresh science led approach to the remediation of oil spills, with a focus on operational efficiency, productivity, fast problem solving & customer care.
